The joy of being an indie dyer, a local yarn shop owner, and sheep farmer, is getting to experience all things knitting and crocheted each and everyday, it’s a good life, a happy life.

We make colours to swoon over, vibrant, lovely, soft and squishy, quirky, fun and easy care hand dyed yarns.  We are inspired by music and often name our colours after song lyrics, or bands.   I am constantly amazed and inspired by the beautiful surroundings of our Kawartha Lakes farm, nestled on a dead end road, where creativity can peak.  This is where our colour inspiration comes from, did I mention it’s a happy life?

2019 & 2020 are bringing a lot of amazing & happy changes to our Tangled Poet’s indie dyed line of yarns.  We are introducing new bases, new colours, new yarn weights, and Subscription Boxes!

This is one of two amazing secret projects I have been working on for the past few months.

So, we would like to officially introduce you to our “Happy Mail not Crappy Mail”.

Registration Opens August 04 2019 at 5 PM EST

Registration is limited to a set number per year, we limited the number of subscribers to ensure dyeing capacity can meet demands, and we don’t disappoint anyone.  Your registration date will determine which month your yarn ships (for example: if you subscribe during the month of January, your first shipment will be in February)                                                           

Our first batch of limited edition colours are dyed and ready, and the first shipments will go out between August 15-18^th. 

Each Subscription box has four different colour themes to choose from, (if you wish to change colour themes at anytime over your subscription, we require one months notice, via our email happymail@aberdeenswool.ca)

Shipping is included in your subscription for all North American Customers, International Subscribers an additional fee of $5/per month applies.

Colour Themes:

Earth - Lots of earthy, lush, earth tones, inspired from the farm and hikes in the woods

Wind - All the brights, well maybe not all of them, but alot

Fire - Sultry reds, oranges, and yellows

Air - Subtle blues, purples, and aquas

The Lamb (100 subscriptions available)

$15/month for 12 months

• 1 Skein of Backpacker (450 yards of our 80% Superwash Merino Wool/20% Nylon 115 grams) every 3 months

(Scheduled shipping dates are November, February, May & September)

• 1 pattern with every skein and a pretty handcrafted stitch marker with each skein
• Shipping is included in the price

The Duckling (50 subscriptions available)

$25/month for 12 months

• 2 Skeins of Backpacker (900 yards of our 80% Superwash Merino Wool/20% Nylon 230 grams)

Every 3 months

                            (Scheduled shipping dates are November, February, May & September)

• 1 pattern with every skein and a pretty handcrafted stitch marker with each set
• Shipping is included in the price

The Kitten (50 Subscriptions available)

$25/month for 12 months

• 6 colour coordinated mini skein sets (6 of our 100 yard mini skeins 80% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon (150 grams total)

Every 3 months

• 1 pattern with every skein and a pretty handcrafted stitch marker with each set

Waylon & Pearl’s (The Sheep Dogs) (50 Subscriptions available)

$60/month for 12 months

Subscription FAQ’s

When will my shipments arrive?

If you are receiving yarn every 3 months, your shipments will be shipped between the 15^th-18^th of November, February, May & September, they are sent expedited parcel through Canada Post, and typically arrive within 1-7 business days depending on your location

If you are receiving yarn every month, your shipments will be shipped between the 15^th-18^th of each month.

How does billing work?

Your credit card will be auto billed securely through Shopify, if you subscribe on the 2^nd of the month, you will continued to be billed on the 2^nd of each month.

Can I cancel my Subscription?

Yes, if for any reason you are not happy with your subscription, or do not want to complete it, simply send an email to happymail@aberdeenswool.ca, you will need to cancel at least 2 weeks prior to your next expected shipment.
