I Heart Canada Limited Edition Pickle Jar
I can't believe it's been more than a year and a half since we have release one of our limited edition Pickle Jars.
Of course as Canadians we've had a lot to think about over the past few weeks, and I too have been reflective about a lot of things. Tangled Poets has always been a Canadian Company (In true transparency, our yarn is made with certified museling free merino yarn from New Zealand, milled in Ontario, and Dyeing, Packaged, and Processed in Ontario, Canada) and we have always celebrated that.
But the thing I've reflected on the most is that I love Canada. I am proud to be a Canadian. I love the country I call and make my home. This to me this isn't about politics, to me this is about how there have been times where I myself have maybe taken being Canadian for granted for a moment, or have maybe taken for granted how fortunate I was to be born and brought up here. This is my love letter to Canada written in a jar. (With yarn of course) I also felt today would be the perfect to share this since it is Valentine's Day, a day of love.
So as we release our first limited jar in such a long time, I wanted to do something that felt good inside of my soul. Something that filled me with inspiration. The landscapes of Canada can certainly fill a jar quickly, and inspire so many colourways.
Of course part of our limited edition jars also includes giving back. Since you all give so much to us. We have chosen to give to The Kawartha Lakes Food Bank (we will post receipts every Friday on our social media accounts, $4 from each jar will be donated.)
These will also be available in 50 packs and 100 packs- note these will come with only the micros, not needles or patterns. They will include the original 40 colours and mixed with complementing semi solids and tonals.
Please note that these will ship the last week of March-This ship time prevents backlog of other orders, it also allows for purchase before any prices increases if they may happen in the future, and allows for a small dye shop to ensure appropriate expectations for delivery.
The Photo Used was taken in the place I spent a portion of my youth in, Algonquin Park, a magical wonder of Canada, such a magical place, this was taken on a trip with my husband, who had never been before (it was also his first time seeing a moose).
